Chatham's Eden Hall Campus is way more than a 388-acre plot of land. It's the embodiment of a commitment Chatham makes everyday to support sustainability and environmental education. In fact, it will be home to Chatham's Falk School of Sustainability and function as a living and learning laboratory, where the campus just doesn't house classrooms, but is the classroom. It's where a blend of knowled

ge, experience, and creativity is always working, persistently developing, and constantly improving. It's the first in the world of its kind. And it's where all efforts are focused on attaining the greatest social, economic, and environmental impact through greatly limiting our ecological impact. This page is dedicated to the farm at Eden Hall Campus, and serves as a way for the students, staff, faculty, and community to engage around food, farming, and events at Eden Hall.

LA MAYOR VITRINA DE PAPAS PERUANAS

Somos el país con mayor biodiversidad de papas. Tenemos 8 especies nativas domesticadas y más de 3,000 variedades, de las 5,000 que existen en Latinoamérica. También poseemos 91 de las 200 especies silvestres del continente (mayormente no comestibles por su sabor amargo y alta toxicidad). Cusco es el departamento con mayor diversidad de papas nativas, con un promedio de 1 500 variedades.
El Centro Internacional de la Papa (CIP), conserva más de 3,500 variedades de papas nativas de 9 países latinoamericanos, y 2000 son del Perú.
Hay papas blancas, amarillas, rosadas, moradas, rojas, etc., siendo las más conocidas: la Huayro, Canchán, Perricholi, Tomasa, Tarmeña, Peruanita, Huamantanga, Revolución, Yungay, Amarilla, Negra, Cóctel...

 Contiene 20% de parte seca y 80% de agua.
 100 gramos de la parte seca tiene 84 gr de carbohidratos, 14.5 gr de proteínas y 0.1
gr de grasa.
 1 kilo de papa aporta 800 calorías y 20 gr de proteínas. Y cocida con cáscara 0.9 mg de vitamina B1, 15 mg de B2, 120 mg de C, 8 mg de fierro, 5,600 mg de potasio y 77 mg de sodio.
