1975 saw the birth of what started the vision - an idea of an organization, a sisterhood that would cater to the needs of Latinas and the universal woman. Thanks to the tremendous strides made by our seventeen founding mothers, this dream was realized, and took form as the entity. Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Incorporated, the FIRST Latin Sorority in the nation. Lambda Theta Alpha was recognized at Kean University as the FIRST Latin Sorority founded in the United States. This organization was the first to recognize the need for a support system, thus creating one. The desire to progress, dedication to their community, and the aspiration for the advancement of the Latina women marked the beginning of Lambda Theta Alpha. It allowed the Latina woman of a new era to have a sense of belonging and with that, achieve her highest potential. It would define a new role for the Latina woman, one with education, goals, and vision in hopes of great success. On November 3, 1991 The INVINCIBLE Theta Chapter at Rowan University, formally known as Glassboro State College was founded. Lambda Theta Alpha was also the FIRST Latin Sorority established at Rowan University. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Invincible Theta Chapter proudly shines a light on our lovely sister, Monica Perez (FA ’94, #3 of 3). 🩷

Through her journey with breast cancer, Monica reminds us that strength is not just about overcoming challenges, but about continuing to live, love, and find joy through them.

Her story is a beautiful reminder that a diagnosis does not define a person, and that the love of family, friends, and sisterhood can make all the difference. 💌

To our lovely sister Monica, thank you for sharing your journey, your resilience, and your words of encouragement. Your strength inspires us, and we are honored to celebrate you not only as a survivor, but as the incredible woman and sister you are.

To all those fighting, surviving, and remembering loved ones, we stand with you. No one should have to walk this journey alone. 🩷

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Invincible Theta Chapter of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Incorporated is honored to shine a light on one of our very own Lovely Ladies, Jennifer DeQuattro, as she celebrates 18 years of survivorship. 🩷

Diagnosed at just 26 years old, Jennifer’s journey is one of unimaginable courage, unwavering hope, and the strength found in taking life one day at a time.

Through some of life’s most challenging moments, she found strength not only within herself but also through the love and support of her family, friends, and sisters.

Her story reminds us that strength isn’t always about being fearless. Sometimes, it’s about choosing hope even when the road ahead feels uncertain.
