The School of Graduate Studies is honored to recognize Dr. Joe Lizza for his leadership in advancing graduate student life and for his support in creating and running initiatives to serve first-generation graduate students. 🎓

Dr. Lizza was selected to be the mace carrier for the 2026 Doctoral Recognition Ceremony, which is a meaningful tradition held each year where a member of the community who holds a doctorate degree is selected for their contributions made to the graduate student community.

Bearing the ceremonial symbol of the Univeristy’s authority, and academic heritage, Joe Lizza’s dedication has left a lasting impact on our graduate community, helping shape the next generation of graduate leaders.

Looking to travel to local Shopping Centers throughout the summer? ☀️

The Shopping Shuttle runs on Wednesdays for students, making stops at Collegetown Shopping Center (Lidl), Doubletree Shopping Center (Aldi), and ShopRite.

The Pick-Up Location is the Shuttle Stop #2 (Wellness Center) at 6:00PM and 7:00PM. Students will return to campus at 8:15 PM.

*Rowan ID is required to ride the shuttle.*

Hootcamp is a 3-day immersive writing experience designed to help graduate students make focused, meaningful progress on their thesis or dissertation.

The event runs from July 20–22 from 9AM–3PM (full attendance required), with free lunch provided daily! Applicants are accepted on a first-come, first-served, and most-needed basis, so the time to apply is NOW!

The School of Graduate Studies would like to congratulate Adriann Lai, President of the Graduate Student Government Association, on recieving the Service Award from the Psychology Department here at Rowan University!

Earlier this month, Adriann became the inaugural recipient of the Distinguished Service to the Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program Award. From her meaningful contributions to the graduate student community to her outstanding academic achievements in the field of psychology, Adriann continues to make a lasting impact both inside and outside the classroom.
