Rowan University Department of Journalism The Journalism Department at Rowan U prepares students for careers in an evolving profession. Students learn writing, reporting and multimedia skills.

The Department of Journalism at Rowan University prepares students to be successful news and media professionals. The class sizes are small and faculty provide students with hands-on instruction and mentoring. Students focus in one of four areas: Writing, Multimedia, Editing and Publishing and Broadcast Journalism. Graduates have gone on to work at the New York Times, MSNBC, Fortune Magazine, the Star-Ledger, E! Online and MLB Advanced Media
