My name is Gabriela Mendoza and I am a Family Support Coordinator for The Family Resource Network. At The Family Resource Network we offer services to individuals with physical, intellectual and developmental disabilities. I’ve attached a link to our mission statement here for your review. A large part of my role as Family Support Coordinator for FRN is to plan and execute a range of different community inclusion programs for our participants. My program specifically serves adults over the age of 21 who have developmental disabilities in Gloucester County.

Each month, FRN is responsible for getting our participants involved in our community. For every event we attend we can expect around 2 to 10 participants as well as 1 to 3 Direct Support Professionals. All of my participants and staff are fairly local to Rowan University and as someone with a background in Higher Education and Student Affairs, I understand the large role that universities and colleges play in their communities.

With this, I was hoping you can help me in figuring out if there are any students who would be interested in being part time Direct Support Professionals for FRN. We are always looking for new ways to engage with the surrounding community and would love any opportunity to get involved with your students or campus groups as the DSP role is great position for undergraduate or graduate students seeking work or volunteer hours.

I’ve attached the Indeed Job Link here again. Please let me know if you require any further information and please feel free to contact me via email or phone at (609) 273-0070. I look forward to hearing from you!

All my best,

Gabriela Mendoza
