Recently, Dr. Marilyn Manley (World Languages) was invited to Multicultural Day at Pauline Petway Elementary School in Vineland, NJ for an assembly to 260 students, grades 3-5. Her presentation, "Language Superheroes!" engaged students in learning about three indigenous languages, including: - Quechua (~8 million speakers, Andes of western South America), Nahuatl (~1.5 million speakers, Mexico) and Taino (spoken until late 1800s in the Caribbean).

This semester, the department of Law and Justice Studies hosted its second Prisoner Reentry Simulation event. Started in 2024, the event is designed to demonstrate the barriers people leaving prison experience when trying to reintegrate into society. The simulation event was open to students and community members, taking the impact beyond campus.
