Rowan University Reading Clinic The purpose of the Reading Clinic is to provide literary assessment and instruction to students grad All tutors are supervised by Rowan University faculty.

The Rowan University Reading Clinic has served Glassboro and surrounding communities for many years, offering assessment and tutoring for children that struggle with reading and writing. Rowan students, specializing in reading instruction, serve as tutors in the clinic. Each clinic participant undergoes an initial reading evaluation to determine his or her individual strengths and weaknesses. A re

test is administered at the end of the clinic to measure the student's progress. The dual purpose of the clinic is to provide literary assessment and instruction to students grades 1-12, while providing opportunities for Rowan University students to develop skills as teachers of reading and writing. All children are provided individualized tutoring in reading by tutors who have advanced training in the correction of reading difficulties. The content of instruction and methods are selected from research based effective practices. Tutoring is either one-to-one or two-to-one. Upon entry each child is given diagnostic tests to determine current reading levels and strengths and weaknesses in reading. Instruction is focused on correcting problems in word recognition, comprehension, and writing. Children are tutored in the Rowan University’s Reading Clinic in Glassboro, NJ twice a week during the university’s fall and spring semesters and four times a week in the summer session.

Today, we start our collection for A Little More Love. The donation bin is located next to the Welcome Desk when you walk through the lobby doors.

A Little More Love is collecting new nail, body, and hair care products for hospice and palliative care patients who cannot afford to purchase their own. We are in need of shampoos, conditioners, lotions, perfumes, candles, nail polish, combs, barrettes, hair pins, socks, etc.

A Little More Love is a youth-led, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization status that helps palliative care patients fight illnesses with a smile and supports hospice patients through their end-of-life care. At the core of the mission is a commitment to reducing social isolation and depression among patients. It fosters connections between youth and patients, as well as provide a platform for volunteers around the world to contribute.
