Friends and Brethren,

I want to sincerely thank you all for coming out last night. It was truly a pleasure to see our newly raised Master Mason, fellow Master Masons, Past Masters, family, and friends all gathered together. I believe the Festive Board was a great success.

As usual, I was running around like a madman, but thanks to the support of my line, everything came together smoothly. Much like my ritual work in the West, I never quite got it right until the very end in true Nick Blitz fashion.

Past Master Matulewicz continues to impress, and I’m grateful for the continued support from each and every one of you throughout my time in the East. I look forward to seeing you all at our next event.

If anyone took any photos from the evening, please share them with me. I’d love to see them.

Fraternally,
Worshipful Master Nicholas Blitz

Brethren,

CJ’s family has kindly asked that we hold off on phone calls for the time being. While they are truly grateful for the outpouring of love and support, they are understandably overwhelmed as they process the loss of their beloved son, brother, father, and grandfather.

Out of respect, please give them the space they need to grieve and begin to heal. Your thoughts, prayers, and support mean the world to them, and they are deeply thankful for the love shown by each of you.

Respectfully and Fraternally,
Nicholas S. Blitz, WM

Friends and Brethren,

Today we lost a truly remarkable man.

Conrad “CJ” Vollmerhausen, Jr., PM was more than just a Brother Freemason. He was a son, a brother, a father, and a grandfather. He was a shining example of what it means to be a Mason. Like all of us, he had his moments as the rough ashlar, but he always strived toward becoming that perfect ashlar we are all taught to seek.

CJ’s intentions for the Lodge and for the Brethren were always grounded in love, dedication, and service. He would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation. His selflessness and spirit touched everyone who had the honor of knowing him.

I will always treasure the late evenings we shared after Lodge, full of laughter, ideas, and the quiet satisfaction of doing something meaningful together. Thank you, CJ, for standing by my side as Secretary. We accomplished so much, and honestly, I don’t know how I’ll finish what we started without you. Most of the time we were flying by the seat of our pants, but we flew together and I wouldn’t have had it any other way.

I always thought we’d find ourselves in the Grand Master’s office at some point during my time in the East, probably for something we weren’t supposed to be doing. Now I find myself wishing more than anything that we could share one more laugh, one more conversation, one more evening after Lodge.

I will truly miss you, Brother. Until we meet again, keep heaven interesting.

Sincerely & Fraternally,
Nicholas S. Blitz, WM
