Friends and Brethren,
Today we lost a truly remarkable man.
Conrad “CJ” Vollmerhausen, Jr., PM was more than just a Brother Freemason. He was a son, a brother, a father, and a grandfather. He was a shining example of what it means to be a Mason. Like all of us, he had his moments as the rough ashlar, but he always strived toward becoming that perfect ashlar we are all taught to seek.
CJ’s intentions for the Lodge and for the Brethren were always grounded in love, dedication, and service. He would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation. His selflessness and spirit touched everyone who had the honor of knowing him.
I will always treasure the late evenings we shared after Lodge, full of laughter, ideas, and the quiet satisfaction of doing something meaningful together. Thank you, CJ, for standing by my side as Secretary. We accomplished so much, and honestly, I don’t know how I’ll finish what we started without you. Most of the time we were flying by the seat of our pants, but we flew together and I wouldn’t have had it any other way.
I always thought we’d find ourselves in the Grand Master’s office at some point during my time in the East, probably for something we weren’t supposed to be doing. Now I find myself wishing more than anything that we could share one more laugh, one more conversation, one more evening after Lodge.
I will truly miss you, Brother. Until we meet again, keep heaven interesting.
Sincerely & Fraternally,
Nicholas S. Blitz, WM
