So proud!!!

There are truly no limits to what our students can achieve. 🌟

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Class of 2026 MWU Glendale Speech-Language Pathology Program graduate AnnaLisa, who was recently honored with the prestigious James Case Student Clinical Award by The Arizona Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ArSHA)peech-Language-Hearing Association (ArSHA)!

This statewide honor recognizes outstanding clinical reasoning, professionalism, and a deep commitment to patient care. AnnaLisa’s journey from a non-traditional undergraduate background to an award-winning clinician shows what is possible when passion meets rigorous preparation and supportive faculty mentorship.

Please join us in congratulating AnnaLisa as she steps into her career as a compassionate healthcare leader! 🎓👏

Happy Pride Month from MWU SLP! 🌈

This month, and every month, we’re proud to celebrate and support the LGBTQIA+ students, faculty, staff, clients, and community members who make our program stronger.

We are grateful for the many perspectives, experiences, and voices that make up our community and help create a place where people can learn, connect, and be themselves.

Wishing everyone a safe, joyful, and affirming Pride Month.

This May, we honor and celebrate Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, a time to recognize the cultures, histories, voices, and contributions that have helped shape our communities and our nation.

We celebrate the diversity, resilience, innovation, and leadership of AANHPI individuals past and present while continuing to learn from and uplift the stories that enrich our shared history. 🌺🌏

May is National Speech-Language-Hearing Month, a time to recognize the impact of communication across the lifespan.
Speech-language pathologists support individuals from early childhood through older adulthood in schools, clinics, hospitals, and more. At Midwestern University, we’re proud to help train future clinicians who will make that impact every day.

Meet Professor Little, Clinical Assistant Professor in Midwestern University’s Speech-Language Pathology program.

Professor Little’s areas of interest include AAC, aural rehab, autism, speech sound disorders, and developmental language disorders. She’s passionate about supporting students across a wide range of clinical areas and helping them build confidence as future clinicians.

Her favorite part of teaching? Watching it all click. As she shares, “I love seeing our students grow in confidence and those ‘ah ha’ moments when they happen.”

Her advice to students: No question is dumb—if you’re wondering it, someone else is too. Ask questions and don’t be afraid to ask for help.

Favorite quote: “If you are positive, you’ll see opportunities instead of obstacles.” – Widad Akrawi ✨

Outside of work, you’ll find her spending time with family, taking photos, enjoying musical theater, or doing a little shopping.
