☀️ Student Spotlight: Abby Williams

Senior English major, Abby Williams, spent part of her summer at the World Journalism Institute with WORLD Magazine at Dordt University, where she explored what it means to practice journalism from a Biblical perspective.

As part of the Digital News Writing track, Abby wrote five articles, interviewed sources, and even had two of her stories published on the WORLD website!

Through this experience, Abby learned the importance of adaptability in journalism and discovered that every story presents new opportunities to learn and grow.

☀️Student Spotlight: David Maloof

Senior political science major, David Maloof, is spending his summer as a research assistant with the Arizona Free Enterprise Club, which is a part of the Arizona Liberty Network.

In this role, David conducts research, compiles data, and prepares notes for meetings while gaining valuable professional experience. One of the biggest skills he's developing is learning how to effectively use AI as a research and productivity tool.

Today we celebrate the enduring freedoms that have shaped our nation and reflect on the principles upon which America was founded 250 years ago.

☀️ Summer Spotlight: Bella Marker

Junior political science major Bella Marker is spending her summer in two impactful roles: ballroom dance instructor for the youth and returning for her second summer as an intern in Congressman Biggs’ office supporting outreach, volunteer recruitment, canvassing, and constituent engagement.
From the dance floor to the community, Bella is sharpening her communication skills and building experience that will support her future career.
