Happy to have you on our team!

Citrus College is pleased to welcome our new director of the Haugh Performing Arts Center, Gilles Chiasson!

Chiasson brings a wealth of experience to the campus community, having worked in both education and the arts. Most recently, he served as facility use manager for the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District, overseeing all operations of their performing arts venues, athletic facilities and meeting spaces. Prior to this, Chiasson was a teacher and theatre director at Valley International Preparatory High School in Northridge. His experience also extends to higher education, having worked as an adjunct professor at Lipscomb University in Nashville.

Chiasson has a strong background in professional entertainment and arts management. He previously served as producing director of the Reprise Theater Company in Los Angeles, working alongside Artistic Director Jason Alexander to produce Ovation Award-winning productions. On Broadway, Chiasson originated roles in "Rent," "The Scarlet Pimpernel" and Baz Luhrmann's production of Puccini's "La bohème," among others. Additionally, he has directed productions in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles, and he co-founded the Adirondack Theatre Festival in Upstate New York.

There will be a mobile food pantry at Citrus College on Monday, April 6, from 1-3 p.m. in the Campus Mall (between the Hayden Memorial Library and the CI Building). Please bring your own bags to carry items.

This program supports students who are experiencing food insecurity. Everyone is welcome, and we ask that you help spread the word!
