es a large wooded area with a nature trail and pond. The 117-acre Warsaw Campus in Richmond County includes a turn-of-the-century residence, furnished with period pieces, that was donated by the Chinn family. Chinn Community Center houses the president’s office and the College Advancement Office; it is available for meetings, receptions, and other community events. RCC also maintains an off-campus site offering evening classes at King George High School in King George County. Classes are held at many off-campus sites throughout the region. The largest off-campus sites are in King George County (where classes are scheduled in the evening at King George High School) and in Gloucester County (where classes are scheduled in the evenings at Gloucester High School). Business Hours
General business hours on each campus are from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday; 8 a.m. Evening and Saturday supervisors are available to provide assistance with administrative matters after 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday evenings, and Saturdays when classes are in session. Evening services are available at King George High School when classes are in session. Please refer to the RCC website, www.rappahannock.edu, for specific library, testing center, and counseling hours.

Campbell met with several representatives last month from various Virginia community colleges, Anthem, and Virginia four-year universities to collaborate on next steps for the program. Leading the meeting was Dr. Rachel Mayes-Strawn, Great Expectations Program Director.

Congratulations to Amanda New for passing her AEMT National Registry Exam on her first attempt.

Amanda is an EMS provider for Lancaster County Emergency Services and volunteers with Kilmarnock Volunteer Rescue Squad. She will also be assisting with the EMT Course at Rappahannock Community College this summer and pursing her paramedic certification this fall.

Are you ServSafe® certified? Learn the basics of food safety, personal hygiene, cross-contamination, allergens, proper time and temperature for food storage, cleaning, sanitation, and more.

Class is held at RCC's Kilmarnock site June 18 from 8 am to 4 pm. Early registration is required in order to receive the ServSafe® Course Book prior to class date.
