Our Story
The Glenville State College Departments of Social Science and Criminal Justice offer a wide variety of courses and subjects for students interested in pursuing careers relating to human behavior, society, law enforcement, corrections, and more.
The Department of Social Science focuses on the different areas of the social sciences, specifically in the area of human behavior. The social science faculty share the belief that human behavior, culture, and society – the total human experience – can and should be studied using the methods of science.
The Department of Criminal Justice prepares students to go directly from the classroom and into the field of their choosing. Our professors are dedicated to providing students with the career-focused skills and knowledge necessary to enter the fields of law enforcement, corrections, probation, parole, and homeland security.
