Last Friday, some of our Respiratory Care students had the opportunity to attend the Kansas Respiratory Care Society (KRCS) conference in Hays!

One of our favorite parts of the day was getting to see so many familiar faces! Pictured first are some of our current students alongside Respiratory Care alumni who were also in attendance at the conference. It’s always great to see our graduates out in the profession and connect with them!

Our students spent the day learning from respiratory care professionals, hearing about current topics in the field, and connecting with RT’s from across the state!

We’re proud of our students for taking advantage of opportunities like this and representing the FHNW Respiratory Care program so well!

🫁WORKING WEDNESDAY!🩺

Yesterday our Respiratory Care students teamed up with the Child Care students for a fun day at the elementary school helping with Body Venture!

Our students helped lead different stations as the elementary students made their way through the human body, learning about health, wellness, and how their bodies work!

We love seeing our students getting involved in the community! 💙

🫁❤️ Hands-on learning

Our Respiratory Care 1 students have been putting their classroom knowledge into practice this week with pulmonary function testing (PFTs) and EKGs! From learning how to perform and interpret PFTs and rhythm interpretation, they’re building skills they’ll use every day as respiratory therapists.

Nothing beats getting out of the classroom and into the lab! 🫁🩺
