Today, students in Dr. Tolle’s Animal Disease class, along with other Animal Science majors, put classroom knowledge into practice at the farm.

Students helped sort, wean, weigh, and vaccinate the college’s Angus calf crop. Experiences like these give our students the opportunity to apply what they learn in the classroom while gaining valuable hands-on livestock experience.

A big thank you to Donnie, our Farm Manager, for working with our students and helping make these hands-on learning opportunities possible!

It was a very successful weekend for both the cattle and sheep teams, and we are proud of how hard our students worked!

Ms. Tolle’s ANSI 1124 Intro to Animal Science class spent today learning about livestock parasites and applying that knowledge during a hands-on lab at the farm. Students practiced animal handling skills while treating the show lambs, gaining valuable practical experience in animal health and management.
