Named as one of Princeton Review’s Greenest Colleges, our picturesque campus is home to a diverse community, in make-up and in thought. More than 40% of Goshen College students identify as students of color, or from countries outside of the United States. Plus, the majority of our students choose to expand their horizons through one or more of our distinctive hands-on, real-world educational opportunities off campus, including our established and nationally-recognized study abroad program. And with over 30 different clubs and organizations including our award-winning TV and radio stations, the Goshen College experience is abundant with opportunities to connect. The result is a community of deep thinkers, inspired ideas and constant collaboration. Academically, our graduates excel in their fields; but what we’re most proud of is the resounding positive effect our alumni have on their communities and the natural world. Our graduates are positioned not just to thrive in the workplace, but for meaningful careers and lives — where they can lead by example in protecting the
wellbeing of future generations, our community and the world. Pay us a visit at www.goshen.edu and see how everything connects at Goshen.

Say hello to More Than Just Stories, a new media hub made possible through a five-year storytelling grant to Goshen College from Lilly Endowment, Inc. Five projects, one mission: telling stories where faith, justice, gratitude and courage meet. This page is just the start. More stories, more pages and more events to come!

Please join and follow us as we kick off this exciting initiative!

More Than Just Stories, a media organization founded by Goshen College and financed by Lilly Endowment Inc., manages five innovative storytelling projects.

🎙️ Just Stories – a podcast about the places where justice and faith intersect and sometimes collide

🎙️ The Gratitude Letters – a podcast built on the conviction that it’s never too late – and always a good time – to say thank you

🎤 Peace Talks – a speech contest where convictions take center stage

🎬 “The Inheritance” – a documentary film that follows the journeys of courageous people as they pursue a spirituality that feels worthy of being called Christian

🌱 Climate Commons – a storytelling conference that highlights how people of faith are confronting climate change

Lilly Endowment awarded Goshen College a five-year, $5 million grant in 2025 through its National Storytelling Initiative on Christian Faith and Life.

This page is just the beginning. We’re building a full home for all five projects — with stories, more pages, and a few surprises along the way. Stay tuned!

Big things are coming to the south entrance of campus! We're breaking ground on a new Welcome Plaza at the Union/Church-Chapel sidewalk intersection. It will feature the GC seal, seating walls, new landscaping, and a nod to the donors behind Connected Cause: The Campaign for Goshen College. The plaza should be taking form by early October, in time for Homecoming Weekend!

Phil Allman, professor of marine biology at the college's J.N. Roth Marine Biology Station, is leading a Florida Keys sea turtle photo-ID project that identifies individual turtles by their unique facial patterns (no tagging required). Nearly 200 photos in, the growing library is helping researchers understand migration, habitat use, and long-term site fidelity. Six GC students have taken part in the work so far.
