Learning beyond the studio! Students in CMU’s sculpture program are helping install work for the new campus sculpture walk in collaboration with Grand Junction’s Art on the Corner.

Being part of the installation process gives students firsthand experience with the planning, teamwork, and care involved in bringing sculpture into public spaces—and a chance to help shape the campus we share.

Excited to see these works become part of everyday life at CMU. Come take a walk and explore!

Art is bringing our community together!

Colorado Mesa University Assistant Professor of Art & Design Crystal Wagner and her fiance Logan are leading a vibrant new community mural at the Mesa Community Center, transforming a shared space into a work of art that reflects the creativity, identity, and spirit of Mesa.

This collaborative project welcomes community members to be part of the process, celebrating the power of public art to connect people and create a lasting sense of place.

If you’re in the area, stop by, say hello, and watch the mural come to life. All are welcome starting at 3pm everyday through Aug. 2nd! We can’t wait to share the finished work with you!
