Happy National Nurses Week!

Running from May 6 - May 12 (ending on Florence Nightingale's birthday πŸŽ‰), National Nurses Week is a time to celebrate and appreciate all of the hard work and dedication nurses around the world show every day. This week, we honor the legacy Florence Nightingale has as the founder of modern nursing.

Additionally, we are grateful for and honor brilliant nurses throughout history such as: Mary Mahoney, the first Black woman to earn a professional nursing license; Mary Seacole, a British-Jamaican nurse and businesswoman who set up the British Hotel to care for soldiers during the Crimean War; Harriet Tubman, a widely known abolitionist and conductor of the Underground Railroad who also served as a nurse during the Civil War; and so many other trailblazers who paved the way for today's nurses and the nurses to come.

Want to get involved this week? The has some great webinars planned for the week, opportunities to donate, and more ways to celebrate.

We at KCON are so grateful for the hard work and dedication nurses have shown throughout history and continue to show as they give back to their communities in incredible ways. Join us this week in celebrating the 5,000,000+ nurses across the country!
