Learning beyond the classroom! 🚀

Our Elementary Education majors have been taking their learning beyond the classroom through hands-on experiences and community connections. Students recently visited the Air Force Base for their Methods in Science and Math course, where they explored STEAM programs and new ways to engage future learners.

They also brought their passion for education to WOW, where they shared activities with students, including designing their dream classroom and creating fidgets while learning about ways to support different learning needs. With more field trips to Starbase and the Great Falls Public Library upcoming, UP's Education majors are getting involved, exploring new ideas, and preparing for their future classrooms! 💙💚🙌

On September 23rd, the University of Providence community gathered at Providence Plaza to honor the feast day of Blessed Émilie Gamelin, SP, foundress of the Sisters of Providence.

Blessed Émilie’s legacy of compassion and service continues to shape the Providence community today. Five Sisters of Providence later crossed the Bitterroot Mountains to bring healthcare and education to Montana, helping lay the foundation for the University of Providence, which was founded in 1932.

As we gathered together, we reflected on the Sisters of Providence and the enduring mission they carried with them: serving others with compassion, dignity, and faith.

The University of Providence remembers Sister Mary Kaye Nealen, SP, who passed away on August 10, 2026, at the age of 84, after 65 years of religious life.

We were excited to welcome more than 2,000 students to the University of Providence campus for this year’s Worlds of Work!

Through hands-on experiences and conversations with local employers, students had the opportunity to explore career paths and discover the many possibilities available right here in Montana.
