Here are a few events happening around Greeley in June:
- Gender and Sexuality Resource Center Summer Welcome: June 2 at the GSRC from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
- Greeley Pride: June 13 from noon to 5 p.m. at the Aims Community College Welcome Center
- Pride Party: June 19 at 6 p.m. at Moxi Theater
- Q***r Art Show reception: June 20 at the Greeley Armory at 12 p.m.

Now, with winter (and most of spring) well passed, large parts of the country might be facing a scary summer. The snowpack in the Rocky Mountains is dangerously low and weather conditions aren’t predicted to change that, potentially leaving many residents of Colorado and the surrounding states high and very, very dry.

Faculty from the University of Northern Colorado (UNC)’s Earth and Atmospheric Sciences and Geography, GIS and Sustainability departments, as well as an alumnus well-versed in the agriculture industry, shared their perspectives on the causes behind this unusual weather and the looming impacts ahead.

Emmy Scott, '21, is the youngest executive director of Earth Guardians in history.

Her achievements in global-spanning efforts centered around environmental restoration, sustainability and community impact earned recognition from the World Wildlife Fund. She received the 2025 Youth Conservation Leadership Award.

Camryn Luksa, '26, is the eighth student in UNC's history to receive a Fulbright award. She will travel to Germany to serve as an English teaching assistant in the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program.
