Our Story

Founded in 1902 at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, Delta Zeta is now one of the largest international sororities. As a sorority, Delta Zeta strives to unite its members in the bonds of sincere and lasting friendship, to stimulate one another in the pursuit of knowledge, and to encourage women to be courageous global citizens.

Delta Zeta was founded on its four ideals of purity, charity, truth, and loving kindness. As members of a proud sorority, Delta Zeta women believe in portraying these attributes in our everyday life. The Delta Xi Chapter at the University of Northern Colorado is very active in social events, philanthropy, and sisterhood events that make our sorority so much fun to be a part of. Our sorority strives to bring out the best in its members by providing leadership opportunities, campus involvement, and the chance to make lifelong friendships. Delta Zeta is more than a great organization, but it is a house away from home where love and friendship last a lifetime.
