💗💜💙 Happy Celebrate Bisexuality Day! 💙💜💗

Today, September 23, we celebrate bisexual people, bisexual history, and the many diverse experiences within the bi+ community! ✨

A little history: Celebrate Bisexuality Day began in 1999, when bisexual activists Wendy Curry, Michael Page, and Gigi Raven Wilbur created a day dedicated to increasing bisexual visibility and celebrating bisexual community and culture. The first observance took place on September 23, 1999, and the date has continued to be recognized around the world.

The day was created in response to the invisibility bisexual people often experience both within broader LGBTQ+ communities and in society. Today, September 23 is also commonly known as Bi Visibility Day and serves as an opportunity to celebrate bi+ identities, challenge stereotypes and erasure, learn about bi+ history, and uplift bi+ voices. 💗💜💙

Looking for community, connection, and a space to be yourself? 💜 The GSRC Affinity Groups are back for Fall ‘26! 🎉

Affinity Groups are a chance to meet other students, build community, share interests, and spend time together in a welcoming environment. Whether you’re looking to make new friends, connect around a shared identity or interest, or just find a place where you can hang out and be yourself—we’d love to have you! 🫶

And remember: ALL affinity groups are open to ALL students! 🌈 You do not need to identify with a particular identity, community, or experience to participate. Come as you are, bring your curiosity, and find a group that feels right for you!
