Our 2026-27 Season rollout wraps up with MOMENTUM! Under the artistic direction of Autumn Rettke, celebrate the end of the season with a production devoted entirely to dance.

April 29, 30 & May 1, 2027 in University Theatre

In addition to Autumn's choreography, MOMENTUM brings student choreographers and dancers to the stage as they explore the physicality of storytelling and the breadth of dance styles in this creative and evocative production. Any student interested in choreography should enroll in THEA 440-001 (Choreography) in the fall semester and contact Prof. Rettke for more information.

A variety of dance classes will be offered next year (Jazz, Tap, Modern, Ballet), and we welcome and encourage all levels of experience to take these courses.

MOMENTUM may be the concluding production of our faculty supported productions, but there will be other student-driven projects and additional opportunities throughout the year, so stay tuned! Audition information will also be shared soon.

We can hardly wait for next season!

Each day this week will highlight one of our upcoming 2026-27 productions, starting with THE FLYING CO**SE by Thomas Campbell.

In addition to being the Chair of our program, Dr. Campbell is a published playwright with nearly 30 years of playwriting experience. Previously, the play had staged readings at Third Avenue PlayWorks and received a developmental workshop with Forward Theatre as part of their Wisconsin Wrights New Play Festival in 2024.

SYNOPSIS: In this dark comedy, the Cawdor family unites following the death of the family’s estranged patriarch. As they prepare for the funeral, their father’s outlandish burial demands force the family to examine their father’s abuse and their respective demons, forcing them to confront the kind of family they hope to become.

THE FLYING CO**SE will run November 12-14 in University Theatre.
