The Lemonade Stand kept the drinks flowing, Walking Tacos were a HUGE hit, and of course, we loved seeing all of your fabulous Summer Rewind Polaroids!

Spartan Dining has partnered with the UNCG Nutrition Department to help extend their Culinary Medicine Program by bringing a hands-on Teaching Kitchen component to NTR 421: International Foods once a month throughout the semester!

Leading the kitchen is Sharniquia White, Spartan Dining Registered Dietitian and proud alumna of UNCG’s Nutrition program. Sharniquia has created four recipes for the semester centered around “Local Foods Gone Global” — combining North Carolina foodways and ingredients with international culinary traditions.

Today’s class kicked off the series with Groundnut Stew featuring NC sweet potatoes, collard greens and peanuts — giving students the opportunity to explore global cuisine while cooking with ingredients and flavors found right here in North Carolina.

We’re excited to continue bringing food, culture, nutrition and hands-on learning together throughout the semester!

Spartan Meals make grabbing a meal on campus quick, easy AND already included in your meal plan!

Here’s the rundown 👇

🌮Spartan Meals are predetermined meal combos available at participating retail dining locations across campus.

💳 They’re included with your meal plan — the number of Spartan Meals you receive each week depends on the meal plan you selected.

🔵🟡 Gold & Blue Spartan Meals give you different options across your favorite campus dining spots — swipe through to see exactly what’s included at each location!

🔄 They reset every Sunday, so make sure you use them before the week is over!

⏰ There’s a 1-hour buffer between Spartan Meal uses.
