If you’ve spent time on campus, you’ve interacted in one way or another with our sustainability initiatives. Chances are you’ve used one of our water bottle refill stations, put an item in a recycling bin, turned on the water with the flick of your wrist, or turned on the lights just by walking into a room. If you’ve eaten in Fountain View dining, you’ve tasted fresh herbs grown in our garden and you’ve participated in our composting program, perhaps without even knowing you were doing so. Or maybe you’ve walked through Peabody Park, our beautiful backyard forest that serves as a research lab for students and faculty in numerous academic departments.
During this Believe in the G, we are asking for support to continue the many incredible sustainability initiatives at UNCG, allowing our beautiful campus to continue to be a living laboratory that meaningfully connects academics and outreach. Just as our individual eco-actions add up to significant impacts, so too will your investment in a sustainable UNCG.
