UNCG Master of Public Affairs - MPA

UNCG Master of Public Affairs - MPA UNCG's Master of Public Affairs is the only Triad MPA program accredited by the Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs and Administration.

Please email us if you would like to learn more about the UNCG MPA program! The Political Science Department offers the Master of Public Affairs degree as preparation for professional positions in public service. Students may enroll in the program on a flexible part-time or full-time schedule as classes are held in the evenings and on Saturdays to allow students to work on internships and full-tim

e jobs. Several types of financial assistance are offered by the department, including graduate assistantships (with tuition waivers), scholarships, and a fellowship. The program provides advanced training for work in several types of public service positions:

-Local, state, and federal agencies
-Private non-profit agencies and voluntary organizations
-Public affairs offices in private businesses
-Legislative staff positions
-Consulting firms and contract agencies

The UNCG MPA program is the only MPA program in the North Carolina Piedmont Triad that is accredited by the Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs and Administration. There are two graduate certificates available within the MPA program. They are:

- Nonprofit Management (online and on campus)
- Urban and Economic Development

Please consider giving to the MPA Next Generation Fund in any amount.

Your contributions go to support student scholarships that help future public servants. We award around 25 scholarships annually and are only able to do so because of your generous support.

Please help us raise our levels of funding for these scholarships!

Scroll down to and click on the Political Science Enrichment Fund
Once there, click on the box "Fund Designation" and select "other"
You will now see a new box "Please designate gift below*"
In that box please type "MPA Next Generation Fund" [it is important to type this exactly]
Select an amount you would like to give
Then complete the form

So happy and proud to announce that Lamar Lee has accepted the position of Playground Safety Manager for the National Parks and Recreation Association. Lamar will be managing the development and delivery of the Playground Maintenance Course (PMC) and the Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) course/certification examination. Best of all, he will be working remotely so he is staying in the Triad!
