The University of North Carolina at Greensboro is seeking candidates for the position of Director of Parking Operations and Campus Access Management - (POCAM).

The Director of POCAM manages the development, operations, and facilities of the University’s parking and transportation programs, reporting directly to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Campus Enterprises. The Director oversees all aspects and activities of the POCAM department, providing organizational leadership, fiscal oversight, strategic planning, operational implementation, business management, and policy development. Additionally, the Director identifies departmental performance goals and objectives that align with the institution’s strategic plan and activates plans to achieve these goals.

The role also involves developing and implementing long-range renovation and equipment replacement plans, recommending capital budget planning, and managing capital assets. Personnel management is another key function, including hiring, supervision, evaluation, and professional development for staff. As a member of Campus Enterprises’ leadership team, the Director engages in strategic planning and initiatives for Campus Enterprises and the division of Finance and Administration. Furthermore, the Director participates in University committees and working groups as a representative of the department or division.

The Grounds section within Facilities Operations at UNCG is seeking a Vehicle and Equipment Repair Technician.

This position is responsible for providing preventive maintenance and repairs to grounds equipment, such as mowers, skid steers, backhoes, forklifts, two-cycle equipment, and utility carts, both gas and electric. This position is also responsible for completing work orders to track the work performed.

Primary duties and responsibilities consist of the following:
40% – Perform repairs, as needed, to return equipment to operation
40% – Perform preventative maintenance on equipment per PM work order schedule
10% – Complete work orders to track work
10% – Order necessary parts

Utilities Operations at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro is actively seeking an HVAC Controls Technician to join the team.

The primary purpose of this position is to operate, maintain, repair, and upgrade as directed the campus Building Automation System (BAS), other HVAC control equipment, and miscellaneous electronic systems. This position also assists with commissioning of building systems requiring the knowledge of refrigerant systems, control systems (pneumatic and DDC), hydronic and steam.

This position is also responsible for the scheduling of preventive and corrective maintenance in all areas of campus. Coordinate the crisis management process for students who have experienced severe distress; Work in collaboration with faculty and other support services across campus to intervene as early as possible with students whose behavior or personal well-being is impacting their academic success; Initiate and implement advocacy programs and services based on data-driven decisions.
