What a thrill for our trumpet ensemble to perform for the 50th Anniversary of the International Trumpet Guild at the famed Eastman School of Music! These students performed beautifully in the hallowed Kodak Hall and opened for the Brass Queens concert (which was amazing!). They performed a very fun piece called A Beatles Fantasy by Evan VanDoren - go check it out! Full video coming soon. Wildly proud of these young musicians and grateful they had this amazing opportunity!

Congratulations to our 2026 graduates! Jack Kannan (BM Music Education), Calvin Godfrey (MM Performance), Ninon Kirchman (MM Performance, not pictured), and Jake Robertson (DMA Performance) have all achieved extraordinary things during their time at UNCG. But mostly, they are just the best people and we will miss them as members of the studio dearly. Congrats, graduates!

MM student Ninon Kirchman put together an incredible program of female composers performed by all female performers. Ninon’s thoughtful musicality, wide range of tonal colors, and true commitment to the music were all on display, not to mention her mastery of the trumpet. Ninon is graduating this spring and we all will be hearing about her success in the future. She will be spending this summer attending the Eastern Festival of Music where she will study with Chris Gekker. Congratulations, Ninon!
