This isn't just another ranking. It's a ranking that indicates consistent, forward progress and upward mobility.

With this new ranking, the university rose 13 places in both the public and national university rankings, reaching No. 116 and No. 219, respectively. The results bring A&T closer to its longstanding goals of becoming a top 100 public university and a top 200 national university.

What does all this signify? Through stronger academic quality and student success, A&T is broadly and progressively contributing to North Carolina and the nation.

As we embark upon a new fiscal year, we are pleased to report that the approved budget by Gov. Josh Stein and the North Carolina General Assembly includes meaningful investments for A&T: investments in continued excellence for students, faculty, staff and our communities.

From $10.67M for capital facilities priorities to $10.6M for research and innovation to increased resources for one of our most prestigious merit scholarships, these investments will further undergird our ability to remain America’s No.1 public HBCU.

North Carolina A&T was honored to participate in the HBCU Caucus Advocacy Day at the NC General Assembly!

Vice Chancellor Heidi Norman, on behalf of Chancellor James R. Martin II, proudly represented the Aggie community—highlighting North Carolina A&T’s path to R1 status and its significant economic impact across North Carolina.

We were proud to connect with members of the North Carolina General Assembly, including Senator Dan Blue, Senator Paul Lowe, Jr., Senator Gladys A. Robinson, and Senator Carl Ford, along with Representative Jerry “Alan” Branson, Representative Pricey Harrison, Representative Nasif Majeed, Representative Maria Cervania, Representative Zack Hawkins, Representative Bill Ward, and Representative Ray Pickett.

We were also honored to have student Madison Belin join us for this important day.

This moment reaffirmed the power and promise of HBCUs in driving innovation, preparing tomorrow’s workforce, and strengthening communities across the state of North Carolina.
