Tomeka Wormack recently crossed the graduation stage after completing her degree in Psychology as an online adult student, proving that meaningful connections and unforgettable moments can happen both inside and outside of the classroom.

Our marketing team was editing our 2026 Commencement Video and stumbled across this clip. Honestly, it’s the perfect representation of our community here. The gentleman and smiling lady congratulating our grads? That’s Mr. James & Mrs. Sherrie — two pillars of our dining team here.

Here at Greensboro College, your professors will know your name. Our dining team will know how you like your sandwiches. You deserve to attend a school where you are not just tolerated, but celebrated. Your theatre performances? Our faculty and staff will be there. Your games? They’ll show up and yell the loudest. Having a bad day? They’ll encourage you through it.

And your graduation day? Oh yeah. We’ll cheer so loudly for you that we’ll lose our voices before we even make it back home.

Yesterday was a beautiful day for Greensboro! Our city celebrated the official opening of the Greenway, a project more than 20 years in the making! We are thankful to all of our city leaders that came out to support, as well as the proud residents of our city.

We are grateful that this new historic pillar of our city has a stretch that sits right beside our campus. Enjoy the warm weather this season, by walking, riding and exploring this wonderful 4-mile loop.

The project is officially underway as we replace the turf at Pride Field! We can’t wait to reveal the finished product and provide our teams with a new and improved playing surface to call home.
