We’d love to see representation from our campus! Last year, a Pitt-Greensburg student made history as the first from our campus—and only the second from any Pitt campus since the award began in 2004—to win a JoAnne Day Student of the Year Award(Business category). Let’s do it again!

🏆 2026 PennACE JoAnne Day Student of the Year Awards

PennACE, a consortium of colleges, universities, and employers of which Pitt-Greensburg is a member, recognizes one undergraduate student in each category with a certificate and $250 cash award, presented through their career center.

⭐️ STEM: Engineering, computer science/IT, sciences, research
⭐️ Liberal Arts: Education, social sciences/services, humanities, human services, government, communication, arts, entertainment
⭐️ Business: Business, marketing, management, accounting, strategy, supply chain/logistics, finance
⭐️ Associate Degree: Students in an associate program with an experience related to any category

🚨 APPLICATION DEADLINE: October 30, 2026

Students must submit:
1️⃣ Online application, essay, resume & professional headshot
2️⃣ Letter of support from their internship/experience supervisor
3️⃣ Letter of support from university personnel (faculty, staff or administrator)

"Five photos. One internship. Countless lessons learned."

Excuse us while we brag on this aspiring Healthcare Management professional, Bryn (front and center!), for a moment. 👏

Talk about a full-circle internship experience!

In April, Bryn attended our Intern Meet & Greet to prepare for her summer role as a Healthcare Administration Intern at The Grand Residence at Upper St. Clair. Pictured alongside classmates who were also embarking on internships, she was eager to gain hands-on experience in the field.

Fast forward to the end of summer, and we were thrilled to feature Bryn in our Internship Spotlight. Then, just a few weeks into the fall semester, she returned to campus to share her experience as part of her final internship presentation.

Throughout her internship, Bryn gained valuable experience engaging with residents, researching and helping develop a new policy, and visiting healthcare facilities across the region. She even discovered that many of the skills she's developed through her campus involvement translated directly to the workplace.

Most importantly, Bryn's internship reinforced her passion for healthcare administration and helped solidify her career goals.

It has been a privilege to watch Bryn grow, and we can't wait to see what's next for her. We're confident she won't be a "free agent" for long!

Enjoy your senior year, Bryn, and thank you for already making an impact on your field and our campus. 💙💛
