📢📢 Begley Scholarship Application is now OPEN! 📢📢

The Begley Scholarship is Lindsey Wilson University's highest scholarship honor providing FULL tuition, housing and meals to at least three incoming freshman students each year. Beyond financial reward, the Begley Scholarship Program seeks to provide students with an unparalleled cultural experience with travel to Hemingway's four great American cities, New York, New Orleans, Chicago and San Francisco. The Begley Scholarship recognizes academic achievement, ability, leadership potential, citizenship and personal character.

✅Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and a minimum 24 ACT to apply.✅

⏳To apply, eligible students must submit the following items by January 30, 2026:

📍An Application for Admission to LWU, an official high school transcript, and ACT/SAT scores
📍Three letters of recommendation (at least one from high school instructor)
📍A one to two page typed essay in response to the following question: "You can have dinner with any two people from history. Who would they be and what would you ask them?"
📍Participation in an interview during Scholars Day on February 7, 2026.

UK Pigman College of Engineering is hosting an Engineering For All event on campus on Wednesday, October 1st from 10:00am-3:00pm. During this special, once-a-semester event, high school students and their families will meet engineering faculty, staff, and engineering students as they explore UK Engineering. They’ll learn about the process of applying to UK, discover what it takes to be a successful engineering student, and engage with current students in the National Society of Black Engineers, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, Society of Women Engineers, and other student groups. A tour of the engineering classrooms, labs, and makerspaces is included as well as a complimentary lunch.
