Middle schoolers, STEM careers, and a whole lot of LEGOs.
On Friday, 25 students from C.M. Eppes Middle School visited ECU for a day of hands-on learning and STEM exploration. The kids learned about data collection with Kathy Kiraly from SAS Software, toured ECU with the Pirate Navigators, and built and programmed robots using LEGO SPIKE Prime kits. They ended the day with a recognition of their efforts and returned home with lots of ECU swag.
Events like these help students discover their potential in technology and expose them to STEM paths like Management Information Systems (MIS) here at ECU.
Thank you to Dr. April Reed from ECU College of Business for organizing this event and inviting us to collaborate this year! We are proud to impact the next generation of STEM innovators.
