✨ Big goals. Bold dreams. One ESHP family. 💙💛

The ESHP Canvas is all about our students, and the futures they’re building.

Students signed their names, shared their aspirations, and reflected on what connects them to the Exercise Science and Human Performance Department at Lander University. From helping others move and perform at their best to pursuing careers in health, fitness, strength & conditioning, rehabilitation, and beyond, every student brings a unique vision to our department.

Their goals are big. Their paths are different. But they’re all part of the same community, learning, growing, and preparing to make an impact. 🏃🏽‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃🏿‍♂️🧠

This is more than a canvas. It’s a snapshot of where our students are headed, and we can’t wait to see where they go! 🚀

🏃🏾‍♀️🧬 Race the Helix! 🧬🏃🏻‍♂️

Dr. Wei, Dr. Portzer, and Dr. Lynch hit the course for Race the Helix, and along the way, they ran into some familiar faces! 👋🏽😄

Events like this are a wonderful reminder of how important it is to connect with our community, show up, and give back. We’re grateful for the opportunity to represent our team, meet so many familiar and new faces, and be part of an event that brings people together. 💙🤝🏽

Thank you to everyone who came out, cheered us on! 🧬🏃🏽‍♀️🏃🏼‍♂️

Today in Anatomy & Physiology, learning came off the page and into our hands 💀🦴

Students worked directly with skeleton models and bones to explore skeletal anatomy—identifying structures, making connections, and asking great questions along the way. This kind of hands-on learning transforms memorization into understanding.

The most effective learning doesn’t just happen by listening or reading—it happens by doing. When students can see, touch, and engage, concepts stick, confidence grows, and curiosity leads the way.

A great reminder that active learning makes anatomy come alive.

Educational Dance isn’t just about movement… it’s about creativity, confidence, and maybe a little Thriller choreography on Friday the 13th. Future Physical Education teachers learning how rhythm, expression, and a few zombie moves can bring a classroom to life. 🧟‍♀️🕺
