A well-deserved salute!

The 2026 Patriots' BBQ brought the Greenwood community together this week to honor local heroes, veterans, first responders and their families. Hosted by Rep. John McCravy, Sen. Billy Garrett and Rep. Daniel Gibson, the annual event celebrates those who serve and protect their communities. Among this year’s honorees were the Lander University Police Department and Brent Delgado, Lander’s director of Military and Veterans Services, who served six years in the U.S. Army as a combat medic.

Thank you to these dedicated Bearcats, and to all those recognized for their service to our country and communities.

Is this what they meant by school spirit? 👻🎃

His presentation is part of Lander’s American Revolution Experience, an interactive exhibit highlighting the people, places and events that shaped the nation’s founding, currently on display in Jackson Library.
