We want to give a big thank you to Dr. Eagerton for taking the time to join us for a guest lecture this morning!

“Dr. Eagerton brought years of expertise, wisdom, and patient experiences to help us understand how to approach diagnostics and treatment of thyroid disease in order to better serve our patients.

Today we learned not only how to identify, grade, and characterize thyroid nodules and masses, but also got to practice using ultrasound to identify them on each other!”

Our didactic year students are starting new traditions! A cultural potluck was hosted last week to bring students and staff together to celebrate different cultures, families, and hometowns. It was a beautiful reminder of how diversity strengthens our community and PA program!

Our students were so thankful to learn from NGU alum Lexi Mycock, PA-C, last week! She presented a patient case on MASLD, highlighting the importance of identifying common risk factors and conducting an appropriate workup. Our students are so grateful for the opportunity to learn from PA-Cs who were once in their shoes!

Our students spent the morning attending the Bon Secours St. Francis Human Trafficking Seminar engaging in conversation surrounding how to recognize, respond, and support victims of human trafficking. It was an incredible opportunity to learn how we can come alongside other medical providers, law enforcement personnel, and victim specialist providers to provide victim-centered and trauma-informed care. We were so thankful for the opportunity to attend!
