The Collegian is once again an award winning newspaper! 🏆🗞

Our student contributors won two first place awards and an honorable mention from the Pennsylvania NewsMedia Association for Division II of the 2026 Keystone Media Awards. PNA awards student journalists from Pennsylvania colleges and universities for high quality reporting in several catagories.

This year The Collegian’s News editor, Matthew Purucker, won first place in the general news catagory for his coverage of the swatting incident this past fall.

Staff photographer Mara Brak won first place in the feature photo catagory for her photo of the Homecoming parade.

2025 alumna and former Managing Editor and Perspectives Editor Grace Scheller won an honorable mention for two of her columns published last spring.

“The Collegian is honored to be recognized by the PNA for our contributions to student journalism. The entire staff collaborates every week deliver high quality reporting, writing and photos for our campus. Every staff member shares in this acheivement. Our three winners for represent Grove City College with high caliber content that demonstrates the college’s emphasis on rigor and excellence in our vocational efforts. This is a tremendous accomplishment, and they should be very proud.” Editor-in-Chief Emily Fox said.
