Stetson Law has been at the forefront of preparing students for a rapidly evolving legal landscape, leading important conversations about artificial intelligence under the leadership of Dr. Kirsten Davis and Dean D. Benjamin Barros. Demonstrating that commitment, Professor Jaclyn Lopez, director of the Jacobs Law Clinic, recently shared her insights during the AI in Litigation Clinics webinar. The discussion, organized by the Association of American Law Schools, explored the opportunities and ethical challenges AI presents for law school clinics.

As global challenges become increasingly complex, who shapes international law? This week, Stetson Law Associate Professor Klara Polackova Van der Ploeg and her colleagues will explore that question at the London Conference on International Law.

If you're attending the conference, you can catch this important discussion, titled "Non-State Actors & International Law," on Friday, October 2, at 2:15 p.m. GMT.

The panel will examine how doctrine, institutions, and practice are adapting to account for non-state actors in an increasingly interconnected world. Panelists will discuss both the opportunities and limitations of international law as global power structures evolve and consider the implications for international legal practice.

Stetson Law is proud to serve as the official academic sponsor of this important event. Learn more: https://hubs.ly/Q04yCyQT0

Climate-related displacement sits at the intersection of international, human rights, migration, and environmental law. 🌍

During a recent special lecture at Stetson Law, Dr. Andreas Müller, a professor of international, human rights, and European law at the University of Basel (Switzerland), invited students to think critically about one of the most pressing global legal issues of our time: how to support people displaced by a changing climate. Thanks to Stetson's International Law Society, Immigration Law Student Association, International Programs, and the Institute for Biodiversity Law and Policy for organizing this compelling discussion!
