The River Vale Police Department
is currently accepting applications for the position of
POLICE OFFICER
2022 starting salary is $56,376.93
REQUIREMENTS:
Certified in Basic Course for Police Officers by the NJ Police Training Commission with less than three (3) years of full-time police experience, OR
Currently enrolled in a Police Training Commission certified New Jersey Police Academy, OR
Certified as a NJ Special Law Enforcement Officer Class II (SLEO II) AND meet the requirements set forth by the NJ Police Training Commission to be eligible for a waiver to Basic Course for Police Officers. At least one year from date of certification.
NOTE: This process will NOT be waiver eligible for Class 1 SLEO
Initial competitive hiring process will consist of
application, resume submission, and oral interview board.
