Graduates were recognized for the completion of four year apprenticeships in electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and plumbing.

⭐ Instructor Spotlight: Ed Hazzard ⭐

With over 45 years in the diesel and automotive technician industry, Ed began his diesel tech career simply because he enjoys fixing things, “taking things apart, putting things together”, he said. Throughout his career, Ed has worked in numerous shops as a diesel tech and also in car repair shops as an auto tech.

Ed has been featured in Auto Service Professional Magazine, authoring an article on car batteries in electrical systems in June 2020. He has also written for Motor Age Magazine 2020 as a Consulting Editor and for Professional Tools & Equipment News in 2016, acting as a member of the PTEN Editorial Advisory Board in 2017.

When it comes to teaching, Ed said, “I like to pass on my experience. It's always been a very rewarding career and I just want to give back a little bit.”

The Home Builders Association of Washington County were back in action at the BTC yesterday for their monthly meeting 🛠️

The Western Chapter of the Maryland Motor Truck Association visited the Bowman Training Center last Thursday for their annual end-of-season site visit and monthly meeting.
Members took tours of the building and checked out the labs after learning about HCC's Diesel Technician, CDL, and Forklift Operator programs. Thanks for visiting the BTC!
