Tomorrow is our second book discussion event! We'll be playing the board game "Bring Your Own Book" so bring a book or use one of ours!

Join the ABL Book Discussions this semester! This would be a very laid back and relaxed setting to just talk about books. You can participate as much or as little as you want. If you want to just sit in and listen to the conversation, that is okay too. Nobody is required to read a book or to come to every discussion.

Our goal is to bring people together who enjoy reading and want to share their love of books and stories with other readers!

Walking into the ABL this week students and faculty are hit with a reminder of those lost, and most never found, in the 9/11 attacks 25 years ago. One of the pillars in the ABL entranceway is transformed into a mock telephone pole with reproductions of real missing posters. In the standing cabinet we have a memorial of recovered steel from the World Trade Center engraved by artist Bryan Hunt. Recollections from alumni Mark O’Hare ‘13 from age 11 in his 5th grade class shows the weight of the attacks on young children as well. Several comic books, newspapers, and other media he collected were donated in his memory are are also on display.
