Department of Education, the Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program was federally funded in the 1960s as part of the TRIO Programs. This program was implemented in October 1989 at then Purdue University Calumet as the McNair Achievement Program,with the goal of encouraging and preparing students who traditionally have not been part of the educational mainstream in obtaining gradua

te education; striving to make post-baccalaureate study for these underrepresented groups a reality. Advocating across all disciplines, this program seeks to prepare undergraduate students for doctoral study.
