Mt Toby Hike and Spelunking

It was a small group hike and yet there are those who loved it! On Saturday 8/12, the DCPV ventured to Sunderland for a delightful Mt Toby hike. Not only was the weather perfect, but the hearty group bagged Mt Toby on a 6.5 mile loop trail, enjoyed climbing the fire tower and breaking for lunch at the summit, and wandered through the caves on the way up. This hidden Pioneer Valley gem did not disappoint! Attending were Suzan Edwards ‘73, Ken Wagner ‘77, Dave Hewlings G’84, and Bill Wright ‘86.

Hi DCPV'ers!

The River Roads Festival is coming to Easthampton on Saturday, September 9 and features Dar Williams, Shawn Colvin, Lisa Loeb, Amy Ray, and other FOD (friends of Dar).

And this fall we're trying something new - the CT River Conservancy is a co-presenter of the Festival. They are following the festival with a cleanup day with the musicians on Sunday the 10th. Rather than joining the traditional Source to Sea Cleanup at the end of September, we've decided to join the Ehamp Cleanup Day.

So...come hang out with us on Saturday afternoon at the River Roads Festival, Then join Dar (and us) for the Cleanup Day on Sunday morning.

• Get tix for the River Roads Festival by clicking here: https://laudable.productions/events/river-roads-festival-2023/
• Sign up to join the Dartmouth Group Cleanup Day here (open https://secure.qgiv.com/event/source2seacleanup2023/team/935098/, click on REGISTER HERE, then select Private Group, Group Volunteer, then Dartmouth Club)
• Read more about the River Roads Cleanup Day at https://secure.qgiv.com/event/source2seacleanup2023/team/931056/ (the cleanup is being led by Ehamp city counselor Owen Zaret, and the Dartmouth Club is a subgroup)

Come get Dirty with Dar! Shovel with Shawn!

Kids are welcome! Friends are welcome! All are welcome!

RSVP deadline Monday, September 4

Questions? Contact Ellen at [email protected] or 415-518-7448.

The Source to Sea cleanup is back for another year in Easthampton. We are teaming up once again with Laudable Productions and the Connecticut River Conservancy fresh on the heels of the River Roads Festival, and you may be picking up trash with one of the performers.

Welcome to the DCPV page! Let's start by showing some photos of a June event that took the club out of the Valley and up into North Adams, in the Berkshires, where we met at MASS MoCA for lunch at their cafe, Lickety Split. At lunch we got an update on what's happening on the Governor's Council in Boston courtesy of Governor's Councillor Tara Jacobs, then we took a tour of the museum complete with a ride on EJ Hill's phenomenal installation, "Brake Run Helix". Since we're just getting started we can't tag anybody yet, but please follow us and we'll keep you up to date on all the latest club happenings.
