Dartmouth - American University of Kuwait Program A collaboration between Dartmouth College and the American University of Kuwait

The American University of Kuwait (AUK) and Dartmouth College have worked together since 2003, one year before AUK welcomed its first class of students. Since then, the collaboration has continued to deepen and expand, enhancing the liberal arts learning experience on both campuses. Faculty and staff from the two schools collaborate on academic and administrative advisory projects. Students from b

oth schools can participate in either a cross-cultural internship program or a for-credit exchange program.

Although student travel to Dartmouth was not possible this summer due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, we have seven talented students from the American University of Kuwait interning remotely this summer! AUK undergraduates in Communications and Media, Business, and Graphic Design are assisting Tuck Executive Education, the Rockefeller Center for Public Policy and Social Sciences, and the Dartmouth-AUK Program Office, while earning internship credit back home. Meanwhile, AUK's Dr. Amro Nour is taking part in a beneficial research collaboration at Dartmouth this summer with Dr. Fridon Shubitidze through the Dartmouth-AUK Faculty Fellowship program.

Tomorrow, I would have been welcoming interns from the American University of Kuwait to intern at Dartmouth if this were normal times. I am sad that this is not happening this year. I hope all are safe wherever they are, however.🙃

We at the Dartmouth-AUK program wish everyone in Kuwait the best and that they are able to stay healthy. Dartmouth is basically shut down, too. Take care all!🐱🐱💓
