Aaron credits Roane State with helping him grow academically, build confidence as a leader, and pursue opportunities that once felt out of reach. He's currently studying public affairs at UTK. We’re proud to see where his path is taking him next!

A great day for PTK in Knoxville! ❤️

Roane State’s Phi Theta Kappa chapter hosted the 2026 Tennessee Sub Regional Fall Honors Conference today at our new Knox Regional Health Science Education Center, bringing PTK members together from across the state.

It was a great opportunity for learning, conversation, and connection. And a special shoutout to Salsarita’s for sponsoring lunch! 🌮

A new path for East Tennessee’s future firefighters is here. 🚒🔥

Roane State’s new Fire Science pathway gives students the opportunity to earn their degree while building real-world skills through hands-on training and partnerships with local fire departments. Students can also work toward important certifications for a career in the fire service.

Already serving as a firefighter? Prior training and experience can also help you earn college credit toward your degree.

Whether you’re preparing to enter the fire service or ready to take the next step in your career, Roane State is bringing the training closer to home.

Learning by serving. 💉❤️

Our second-year nursing students recently put their skills into practice by providing flu shots for Covenant Health employees. Opportunities like these help students gain valuable hands-on experience while improving the health of our communities. Great job to all!

The students are pictured with RSCC faculty member Rebecca Simmons and Nursing Program Director Dr. Michelle Cash.
