Robinson Performance is owned and operated by Trexton Robinson. Located in the center of Marion at 1300 E Main St, Marion, IL. Robinson Performance offers high performance dyno tuning for domestic cars and standalone ECU calibration. Robinson Performance specializes in aftermarket automotive performance parts installation and a variety of performance vehicle models amongst the domestic car market.
Trexton started his business to pursue his known passion and purpose. Since he was young, he always admired high performance muscle cars and trucks and have always felt a calling for them. Trexton knew he always wanted to start an automotive performance business. He started his career by attending college at the Hennessey Performance’s Tuner School in Sealy, Texas. There, he received specialized training in performance modification, part calibration, and chassis dynamometer operation, earning both the Intro to High Performance and Advanced Tuning Certificates. After completing college, Trexton decided it was time to start his own business.
Trexton’s favorite part about his business is being able to be around what he loves every day. He enjoys interacting with fellow car enthusiasts and hard-working individuals who want a car that’s built to feel like their own. Trexton quotes “for me, it’s not just the aesthetic or thrill of speed, but the connection and community I have the pleasure of creating with my clients and fellow enthusiasts”.
Trexton Robinson was assisted by the SBDC for the start of his business. Trexton says “The SBDC opened my eyes to a lot of stuff I didn’t even think about. I approached with the intent of assistance obtaining a loan but gained so much more. A business is a business no matter what and the SBDC will guide you down the correct path”. Trexton absolutely recommends the SBDC to the community.
