Meet Hannah Wenzel.

After completing her degree at Southeastern Illinois College, Hannah was awarded the SIU Provost Scholarship, covering two full years of tuition and housing as she continues her journey in Elementary Education.

For Hannah, this isn’t just a scholarship. It’s the freedom to graduate debt-free and pursue her passion of teaching in communities that need great educators the most.

🎬 From Southern Illinois to a national audience!

Congratulations to SIC alumni and brothers Kyler and Kaleb Cook on the success of their first feature film, Just One More, which recently climbed into the Angel Studios Top 10.

The Eldorado natives, who attended both SIC and Southern Illinois University Carbondale, turned a dream into reality through years of hard work, creativity, and determination. Their film explores themes of addiction, recovery, faith, and second chances while reaching viewers across the country.

We're proud to see SIC alumni making an impact through storytelling and inspiring others to pursue their creative goals.

🚨 Deadline Extended! Submissions open to all! 🚨

Veteran artists now have until June 15 to submit entries for the “Living the Dream: Veteran Art Exhibition” at the Ella Elizabeth Hise Museum of Regional Art at Southeastern Illinois College. 🇺🇸🎨

The exhibit will feature patriotic artwork created by artists with regional connections and will be on display from July 6 through Sept. 11, 2026.

Artists may submit up to three original works in a variety of mediums and subject matters.

🏐 Southeastern Illinois College is now hiring a Head Volleyball Coach!

Southeastern Illinois College is looking for a Head Volleyball Coach. This position supervises all aspects of the College’s NJCAA sanctioned Women’s Volleyball team. Responsibilities include coaching, recruiting, organizing practices, scheduling games, maintaining team budget and overseeing all aspects of running a college program. This is a stipend-only position. College Volleyball experience preferred.
