Southeastern Illinois College is excited to announce the signing of Grace and Madison Hahn of Dieterich, Illinois, as members of both the Falcon Trapshooting and Archery teams.
The Hahn sisters, graduates of Dieterich High School, plan to pursue degrees in Elementary Education while continuing their archery and trapshooting careers at SIC.
Both Grace and Madison were highly active during their high school careers, participating in Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), National Honor Society, Business Club, FFA, and Spanish Club. In addition to their academic and extracurricular success, they competed with the Blaze Orange Shooting Team and developed into accomplished shooters under the guidance of their Dieterich High School trap coaches.
The sisters cited scholarships and SIC’s campus environment as key factors in their decision to continue their education and athletic careers at Southeastern.
“We appreciate our Dieterich High School trap coaches for all of their help preparing us for the next level,” the Hahn sisters shared.
SIC Trapshooting Head Coach Jordan Hammersley expressed his excitement about the addition of the duo.
“Southeastern is incredibly fortunate to receive both these young ladies, and I’m confident they will have success in their futures,” Hammersley said.
SIC Archery Head Coach Ricky Sauls also highlighted the impact the Hahn sisters will bring to the program.
“I am very excited to have the Hahn sisters joining the archery team,” Sauls said. “They will be bringing a high level of competitiveness to the Falcon archers. Both are very accomplished in trap and are looking forward to being able to compete at the college level in archery as well as trap shooting.”
