Opening September 8: Pato Hebert: Sick Days.
In this solo exhibition, NY-based artist Pato Hebert addresses topics ranging from chronic illness and disability to viral impacts on neurology and language. Through multidisciplinary artworks, Hebert examines the complex relationships between health, identity, and community, offering timely perspectives on collective wellness and care.

That’s a wrap on the British Arts and Crafts in London study abroad! What an amazing trip emersed in British culture! Highlights from the final two weeks include visits to the V&A Kensington and V&A East, workshops including calligraphy, book structures and block carving and printing, London Transport Museum, the Museum of Brands, St. Dunstan’s in the East church garden, Old Spitalfields market and an afternoon tea cruise on the Thames! The students had plenty of free time to explore on their own along with a quick trip to Paris! Regardless of the heat wave the weather was sunny and bright! Until next time London!

Recent honors, awards and research opportunities highlight contributions from the SADAH community

The British Arts and Crafts in London study abroad finished their first week! This 4-week course co-directed by SADAH Professors Dawn McCusker and Karin Tollefson, explores the history and impact of this influential movement and how it relates to current trends and practice within contemporary art and design. Students can receive credit in Art Education, Book Arts and Graphic Design. From walking across Abbey Road to viewing the trips namesake artifacts at the William Morris Gallery, they have been busy. Visits to Tate Britain, The British Library, St. Bride Foundation for letterpress, Hampton Court Palace, and a day trip to Oxford makes for a productive week! Looking forward to week 2!
