Live on Again! Contracts officially open on October 1, 2026!

Live on Again! Contracts are housing contracts for Upperclass students for the 2027-28 academic year. Contracts will open on October 1 (TIME TBA), and remain open until all spaces are filled. Communications will be sent/posted regarding updates on status of contracts. Once contracts are full, we will move to a waitlist process, in which contracts will only be offered if space becomes available.

Please note, during the last 3 years, contracts have filled in 2 weeks or less. If you know that you must live on campus for the 2027-28 academic year, regardless of scenario, then you should plan to sign on October 1.
•
Those who plan to go through the RA or Sorority process should ONLY sign if you will live on campus REGARDLESS of receiving a job offer or sorority housing offer. If you are not intending to live on campus if you are not an RA/Sorority member, then you should wait to sign and ResLife will work directly with you if you receive a job offer or sorority housing offer.

Move-In starts tomorrow so here are a few reminders:
• Make sure you arrive on the correct date and time of your move-in appointment
• Follow the driving directions and parking info for your specific hall (see Lnk.Bio)
• Label your things so that all of your stuff gets to the right place if there are volunteers helping!
• Reach out to ResLife (in your area or via phone/email) if you need assistance!
•Stay hydrated and be kind!

What is FERPA?

FERPA is the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974. It is a federal law regarding the privacy of student records and the obligations of the institution regarding the release of educational records and the access provided to these records.

What this means for ResLife/Move-In:

We cannot share information about your student's room assignment.
For example; if you ask us to tell you what room your student is in because you are helping them move-in, we will NOT be able to tell you. You will need to contact them directly and have them tell you and/or es**rt you to their room.

FIRST YEAR HOUSING - By the Numbers

ResLife is proud to have 5,020 total First Year (FY) spaces* over 6 residential areas and 23 buildings! First Year students had the opportunity to rank 9 area/building preferences before housing assignments were sent and we are PROUD to announce that all incoming students got one of their TOP 4 preferences!! (unless they failed to complete a ResLife action/did not match with their roommate).

Based on the 9 preferences (slide 2), you will notice a few things that you may not have known!
• Alger Hall has 42 FY spaces/0.8%, but 927 people ranked it in their top 2 preferences!
• Tree Houses has 130 FY spaces/2.6%
• Potomac Hall has 212 FY spaces/4.2%, but 2,152 people ranked it in their top 2 preferences!
• Paul Jennings Hall has 227 FY spaces/4.5%
• The Bluestone Area has 471 FY spaces/9.4%, but 1,960 people ranked it in their top 2 preferences!
• The Hillside Area has 541 FY spaces/10.8%
• The Lake Area has 617 FY spaces/12.3%
• The Skyline Area has 1,284 FY spaces/25.6%
• The Village Area has 1,496 FY spaces/29.8%

We hope this helps everyone understand that not everyone can get their #1, but we are happy that we could give everyone something in their Top 4**!
